Lake Ontario buoys
Latest water temperature, waves, wind and air temperature from the instrumented buoys on Lake America (Lake Ontario). Each value shows when that reading was observed, in Eastern time. All readings are automated and provisional; they are not for navigation.
Seasonal buoys
These buoys are typically removed for winter and no deployment or recovery dates are published. If a buoy stops reporting, this page shows its last good reading with the date it was observed. Any single measurement older than 6 hours is shown as “no recent report”.
Some buoys alternate between wave-only and weather-only reports, so each measurement carries its own observation time.

Sources and caveats
Data is relayed by the National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) from each buoy’s owner. Stations 45135 and 45139 belong to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC); NDBC says data from those stations are not quality controlled by NDBC. Station 45215 data is submitted by the Scripps Institution of Oceanography (CDIP). Station names are as published by NDBC. Readings are provisional and unvalidated.
